Setting the Scene
The impact of visual design is felt across every industry that asks people to show up and pay attention. When the visual language of a brand or production is developed with intention, it becomes one of the most potent communication tools available.
Drawing from the discipline of theatre, the precision of retail, and the vision of experiential design – I embrace flexibility and adaptation in my work to achieve a more intuitive expression of identity than any single medium alone may offer.

Branded Booths
I travelled with the brand to various pop up events, artisan markets, tradeshows, and music festivals in the NYC area and beyond in an effort to expand the wholesale and retail reach of the business while growing brand awareness in new regions of the country. I assisted in this effort by co-designing and creating custom props, fixtures and experiences to reinforce brand identity through visual displays and merchandising.

Incorporating techniques I learned while studying fashion design, working in gallery settings and through my own personal experimentation - I created custom props and fixtures that helped establish a visual identity for the brand.

Camelot
Working with small theatre companies in Chicago has allowed me to explore the range of my artistic handiwork and grow exponentially as an independent creative. In this position, I handled all aspects of the design and development of every props used throughout the run of the show. While I was able to source some items from a limited existing inventory, most of the items needed to be foraged or fabricated with special consideration to a restricted budget and resources.

As You Like It
I joined the props department for the revival of this traveling show that had been halted due to pandemic closures and the theater industry went into dormancy like many other live events. I worked alongside the production crew to make repairs and refresh existing elements. In addition to what was already available, I worked to create replacement and supplementary props determined by the design and production departments.
