The Return of
Logan Square Arts Festival

Following a hiatus in 2025 due to park construction, the festival’s comeback was eagerly anticipated and the neighborhood was ready to celebrate!

2026 was bigger and better than ever, marking the first year of official partnered programming between Logan Square Arts Foundation and Comfort Station. Instead of just hosting a few individual moments, we were able to curate a collective of programmers that helped shape the weekend’s atmosphere into something unmistakably interactive. Our workshops, events and performances left folks lingering longer, asking more questions, and engaging on all levels.

The attention to detail that was invested into planning paid off – by the end of the evening we exceeded our goal for donations , providing a healthy budget to start with in 2026!

Saturday’s workshops got us into our bodies with Experimental Parkour and Poetry (Gabe Life 100), Somatic Circus Play (Maya Anuligo), and Pilates in the Park (Logan Square Pilates + Core).

Friday night kicked off the weekend of events with The Mill (Millstone), bringing the energy and momentum of performing live for a highly-engaged audience while simultaneously raising funds for Chicago Books for Women in Prison. This multidisciplinary showcase inside the station was juxtaposed beautifully with Madeleine Aguilar’s mobile music makers, an engaging sound sculpture that invited exploration and play through soundmaking with periodic activations throughout the night, nearby the monument.

Whimsical Wandering Wonders (Rabbit Foot Puppetry) had us escaping into fantasy, complete with imaginary tea parties where woodland characters might invite you to join them at their pretend table and maybe even grant you a fortune if you were lucky!
